COMMERCIAL, INDUSTRIAL AND INSTITUTIONAL ROOF TYPES AND TECHNOLOGY

Each type of roofing technology has its unique features and benefits. Our experts will guide you in identifying the roof to provide the best return on investment, based on your budget and your short- and long-term needs.

Built-up roofing BUR

This system has been around for many years. It is a continuous, roofing membrane consisting of multiple plies of saturated felts, coated felts, fabrics or mats. They are assembled in place with alternate layers of bitumen and surfaced with mineral aggregate, bituminous materials, liquid-applied coating or granule-surfaced cap sheet.

  • Lifespan of 15 to 18 years
  • Resistant to foot traffic
  • UV resistant
  • Available in two colours: grey and white
  • Good track record

Polymer-modified bitumen systems

Polymer-modified bitumen membranes have been on the market for more than 40 years. They are composed of polymer-modified bitumen sheets often reinforced with various types of mats or films and sometimes surfaced with films, foils or mineral granules.

  • Lifespan of approximately 30 years
  • Quick and easy installation
  • Quality controlled (factory manufactured)
  • Heat welded seams, providing good watertightness
  • Low-maintenance
  • Well-adapted to our environment

Hybrid Modified Bitumen BUR

This roofing system is a hybrid between built-up roofing components modified bituminous membranes.

This combination delivers durability and all the advantages of a multilayer roof: fire resistance, air circulation and exceptional resistance to water, weather and wind damage.

No matter which technology you choose, basic upkeep is essential to maximize your roof’s waterproofness and lifespan.

EPDM membrane

The EPDM membrane is one of the most eco-friendly roofing options available, thanks to its impressive durability and minimal environmental footprint.

  • Lifespan of over 20 years
  • Recyclable
  • Easy to maintain and service
  • UV resistant
  • Elastic and flexible at low temperature
  • Environmentally-friendly choice

TPO membrane

The single-ply TPO membrane (polyolefin thermoplastic) is made of plastic. Its heat-welded joints are renowned across the industry for their exceptional resistance. This roof is quite aesthetic, particularly in white.

  • Lifespan of approximately 20 years
  • Chemical-, UV- and contaminant-resistant
  • Wide variety of applications
  • Recyclable
  • Fire resistant
  • Energy efficient
  • Light and flexible

Thanks to our experience with buildings of all kinds, you are sure to be well-advised in full confidence.

Metal roof

This type of roof can last more than 50 years. A variety of material options are available, each one bringing exceptional durability and minimal maintenance requirements to the table.

  • Lifespan of 50+ years
  • 100% Recyclable
  • Rigid yet ultralight
  • Resistant to fire and high winds
  • Variety of architectural patterns and colours

RMI

RMI is a fluid membrane applied to roofs nearing the end of their lifecycle to extend the lifespan of components still in good condition. Compatible with nearly every type of roof, RMI is ideal for hard-to-reach areas.

  • Environmentally-friendly choice
  • Solvent-free
  • Light and flexible
  • Excellent elongation properties for use on metal roofs

Choosing the right roofing technology is essential to preserve the value of your building!

PVC membrane

The single-ply PVC system (polyvinyl chloride) is a pre-manufactured thermoplastic membrane allowing a variety of applications and a range of thickness and color options, including white and grey.

  • Lifespan of approximately 35 years
  • Eco-friendly and recyclable
  • Resistant to chemical products
  • Heat-welded seam technology
  • Long term performance and durability
  • Puncture-resistant

GREEN ROOF

This eco-friendly roof has no shortage of benefits: it helps to reduce global warming, purifies the air and recycles water. There are also many advantages for the building.

  • Reduces urban heat islands
  • Provides green space
